The Anxiety Disorders Research Program Mission
The ADRP Lab's Values
|
Thank you for visiting the online home of the Anxiety Disorders Research Program at the University at Albany, State University of New York. We are dedicated to using scientific know how, with a focus on anxiety disorders, to understand and ameliorate human suffering. We have basic and applied lines of research underway that is framed within an approach known as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT, said as one word). We are addressing variables and processes that feed and maintain anxious suffering and researching how best to alleviate that suffering, within the framework of ACT.
Professionals may wish to look at the schedule of upcoming Professional Training Workshops on Dr. John Forsyth's personal site. Students may wish to join our lab and opportunities for studying and conducting research with us. You will find information about applying for graduate training at the University at Albany, as well as an online research assistant application for those looking to gain valuable research experience in preparation for advanced studies in clinical psychology. Please feel free to contact any of the current graduate students or Dr. Forsyth with questions you may have. We hope you enjoy the site! |
